Description

LiFeBlue Battery is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP or LiFePO4) battery designed for recreational vehicle (RV) and Marine deep cycle use. LiFeBlue is also well suited for use in off grid homes and cabins, industrial applications and more. Our "drop in" replacement battery is unlike any other on the market. The built in BMS system offers 8 different protection modes including, over and under voltage, over and under temperature, over current, short circuit and more. Our unique Bluetooth App communicates directly with the battery without an internet connection.


LiFeBlue Batteries are much lighter and charge fast, much faster than any lead acid battery. Your RV or boat will likely have a compatible battery charger built in that is ready to use with LiFeBlue Batteries. Do I need a special battery charger?
The ideal charger has 3 programmable settings: Absorb voltage, Float voltage and Absorb time. Set the charger to Absorb at 14.2 ~ 14.6 volts, Absorb Time for 5 to 30 minutes, then 13.6 ~ 13.8 volts for Float. Some inverter/chargers have custom settings, some dont. Using the GEL battery setting will work. Some converters made for lead acid batteries will partially work but may let the battery discharge due to a low Float setting. Always disable or remove temperature sensors.
Can I use my alternator to charge the battery?
Yes, using an alternator is one of the best resources for auxiliary battery charging. After your purchase, we will send you wiring diagrams showing how to connect your alternator. While driving, you can choose when the alternator will charge with a simple toggle switch. Automatic control is also possible. One great advantage of alternator charging is that it can take the place of a generator saving many hundreds of dollars and much wasted space. Simply idle the engine to charge.
Can I use Solar Power to charge LiFeBlue Battery?
Yes, a PV solar power system is a great way to charge. Make sure to purchase a programmable charge controller. We can specify a recommended controller for your solar modules. Do not use temperature compensation.
What size battery should I buy?
It depends primarily on 2 things: how much power do you consume before recharging and how far are willing to discharge the battery. Example: If you use on average 80AH before charging again and are willing to discharge about 80% on average, then you should consider a 100AH battery. If you are only willing to discharge about 50% then a 150AH battery will be a better size. It’s usually good to have some reserve capacity in case you can’t charge when you need to or if you need to use more power than normal before you do charge. How long will my battery last?
LiFeBlue Battery has been tested to have the best cycle life of any drop in battery. It can last for several thousand cycles depending on use and care. Keeping the battery cool will provide the longest life. Also, less energy removed before recharging will provide more overall cycles. This is true with all battery types.
Can I use LiFeBlue Battery to start my engine?
No. LiFeBlue Battery is designed for deep cycle use. However, our new PC and HC models seem to be working fine with generator starting.

Smart Connect Bluetooth Monitoring

Every LiFeBlue Battery has Wireless Bluetooth communications built in. Our free IOS or Android App called Smart Connect keeps you informed about the functioning of your battery. Also included in our App is our Battery Monitoring feature so you will always know the State of Charge (SoC) or how much energy is left in the battery. This will save you hundreds of dollars buying an external battery monitor.
