LiFeBlue batteries are designed as a "drop in", 12 volt, direct replacement battery for Recreational Vehicles(RV), boats, golf carts, off grid power, back up power and industrial uses. Drop in simply means it is a complete package sealed in a standard battery case.

Our original and unique design of rechargeable Lithium Ion battery uses the safe and non-toxic Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry. The formula of our batteries consists of Lithium Li, Iron Fe and Phosphate PO4. This is abreviated as LiFePO4, or LFP for short.

Bluetooth Monitor

LiFeBlue Battery is smart...VERY SMART. Each LiFeBlue battery has a wireless Bluetooth® BLE transmitter that let's you communicate with your battery Energy Management System or EMS. We call our free software SMART CONNECT.  This feature is unique in the battery industry and has great value to the user. External battery monitors can not see inside the battery and can cost several hundred dollars more.


Safety

LiFeBlue batteries have an excellent safety record. Each lithium cell has multiple layers of safety. The internal EMS prevents dangerous conditions from happening and monitors the battery 24 hours a day. Our EMS includes these protection features:

       • Over voltage protection.

       • Under voltage protection.

       • Short circuit protection.

       • Over charge and over discharge protection

       • Over and under temperature protection.

Very Fast Charging     

LiFeBlue batteries recharge far faster than any lead acid battery. Let’s compare 2 100AH Fullriver batteries and 2 100AH LiFeBlue batteries with 150AH removed from each bank.

LiFeBlue charge rate = up to 160A; Time to full charge: 1 hour, 2 hours @ 80 Amps.

Fullriver charge rate = Max. 50A; charge time >7 hours


The reason lead acid charges so much slower is 1) you must limit the current during the bulk charge cycle and 2) the final 20% of charging is based on time, not current, and that takes 3-5 hours for any deep cycle lead acid battery. This difference is huge if using fuel to run a generator. It also means that a much smaller PV solar charging system can be used. With limited roof space, this is a great advantage.


Connection Convenience

LiFeBlue Batteies can be connected in series or parallel to increase voltage or battery bank capacity. Up to 4 batteries of the same model can be put in parallel. You can make 24, 36 or 48 volt battery banks by combining in series.

High Charge Efficiency

LiFeBlue batteries are nearly 100% efficient. That means it only takes a small amount of additional energy to recharge than what you removed from the battery. Lead batteries take 10% to 30% more energy to recharge.


Depth of Discharge and Cycle Life

Despite the fallacy perpetuated on countless battery websites and blogs, all deep cycle lead acid batteries can be discharged 100% if necessary. The result of doing so will greatly reduce the number of cycles you get. The same principal also affects all lithium ion batteries but there is a difference: with LiFeBlue Battery, you will get over 2800 cycles if you discharge 100% every cycle. If you do this to lead acid batteries, you will get 300 to 500 cycles. (based on 80% remaining capacity) This means that under any depth of discharge, LiFeBlue battery will outlast lead acid by 5 to 1 or better. By reducing the discharge depth to about 50%, LiFeBlue battery can produce more than 6000 cycles. This compares to about 1200 cycles from the best lead acid battery.


Temperature

All batteries are dramatically affected negatively by high temperature. Keeping the battery below 80°F will produce the longest life. Our battery is more heat tolerant than any lead acid battery. It can be discharged from -5°F up to 149°F. Remember though, cooler is always better for the longest battery life. 


As with all Li-ion batteries, if the battery cell temperature is below 32° F, warm the battery before charging or limit the charge current to 0.05C (5% of the battery capacity) until the temperature is above freezing.

Storage

Many people only use their RV seasonally. If you store your RV, how will you take proper care of your battery? Millions of RV batteries are damaged each year from neglect and undercharging. LiFeBlue can prevent this waste of money and resources because of our chemistry.

You can disconnect our battery and walk away for few weeks to many months without harming the battery. First, discharge the battery to about 50% SoC. You can check this with Smart Connect. Then disconnect the negative cable or turn off your battery disconnect switch. You can make sure the battery is disconnected with Smart Connect. It will display "Status: Disconnected" on the home screen.

When you return, your battery will be ready to charge with no loss of capacity. Don’t try this with your lead acid battery as it will ruin them.

Weight Savings

LiFeBlue batteries are less than ½ the weight similar sized of lead acid batteries.  A 105AH Lead Acid battery is about 60 pounds. LiFeBlue 100AH battery is 29 pounds and that’s including energy management and a battery monitor.

High Operating Voltage

Lithium-ion batteries maintain a very consistent high voltage throughout the discharge cycle. This results in lower current and longer life for electronics. It also means lights are brighter and slide outs move faster. When lead acid voltage drops, the current and heat increase and this shortens the life of electrical components.
