Per United States Department of Transportation and United Nations regulations, large Lithium Ion Batteries are classified as Class 9 miscellaneous dangerous goods. As a result there are special shipping requirements and costs associated with our products. All LiFeBlue Battery shipments comply with 49 CFR and IATA Regulations. Due to these regulations we are unable to ship batteries through the postal service and as a result we are unable to ship batteries to APO and FPO addresses.

Battery shipments may not be sent to mail forwarding companies like The UPS Store. Employees generally are not certified to handle dangerous goods.

Shipping Method

For standard ground shipments, LiFeBlue Battery uses FedEx Ground and Home Delivery service. Dangerous goods shipments are limited to 70 pounds per package. Batteries in excess of 70 pounds will ship by FedEx LTL Freight. Some battery orders of 2 or more batteries may be more economical to ship via freight.

Shipments of lithium ion batteries require special packaging and shipping documents. Packagings have specific weight limits so multiple boxes may be required for certain shipments depending on the number of batteries being shipped. Commercial deliveries are preferred, or as an alternative option you may pick up your order at the nearest ground or freight terminal and only pay the commercial delivery rate. Any accessorial fees such as residential delivery, lift-gate delivery, inside delivery etc. not specified when ordering will be the responsibility of the receiving customer.

LiFeBlue Battery uses US Postal Service or FedEx for non-battery shipments.

Freight Shipments

Freight shipments may be used when the combined shipping weight is over 150 pounds or when the cost is less than using standard Ground Service. Please specify when ordering if a lift gate will be required to move the pallet from the truck to the ground.

Expedited Shipments, Air Cargo

Faster shipping services are also available through FedEx and other carriers. These packages must be shipped in cargo only aircraft and may have service area restrictions. If you have an urgent need please contact us for more information and pricing on expedited shipping services. Please be aware that these services will be costly and some larger cells may not be shippable via air due to the weight limitations of single packages. There are no guaranteed delivery times for Hazmat materials.

All shipments to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territory must ship by Air Cargo.


International Shipments

All international shipments must be shipped in cargo only aircraft and may have country or area restrictions.

Shipping Cost

Shipping cost varies based on weight and destination zip code. The shipping cost is the actual cost plus a per box Dangerous Goods Fee set by the carrier. In some circumstances it will be less expensive to bill the minimum freight cost than to use Ground Service for small packages. There are surcharges for freight shipments sent to residential addresses.

Free shipping offers are limited to the shipping conditions set forth above. Free Ground shipping is only offered to the 48 contiguous States.  

If you have made payment through our website by using PayPal, we may invoice you via PayPal for the amount of actual shipping cost or any difference between what is due and what you paid.

You can e-mail, text or call us to place your order and we will send you a quotation including shipping cost.

Back-ordered product

A back-ordered product is a product that is temporarily out of stock. You will know a product is back-ordered prior to ordering if you see a message on the product detail page during the order process on our website. If a product you have already ordered becomes back-ordered, an e-mail notification will be sent to you. After receiving this e-mail, you can choose to wait for the item or cancel your order. Backorders remain active for 60 days. If back-ordered items are not available within 60 days, they are automatically cancelled. Five (5) days before it is scheduled to cancel, you will receive an e-mail asking you whether you would like your back-order to be extended. If you wish to cancel your purchase at any time before shipment, let us know and we will issue a full refund.

A tracking number and shipping updates will be e-mailed to you after your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment activities at shipping company's website.


You may cancel your order if your item has not been shipped and receive a full refund. If you want to cancel your order after order has been shipped, you will be charged for return shipping and 15% restocking fee.
